Nothing is perfect, and this includes your virus scanner and anti spyware resident programs, like AVG and Microsoft Defender.
The following programs and this procedure help to keep your computer free from the viruses, malware, spyware and a host of other problems that occur when using the internet that resident programs may have missed.

On a regular basis, at least once a month or earlier if you notice the PC is getting slower, run these programs in the following order:

1. Clamwin    make sure you click "scan" button making sure drive C: and any other drives you use to store your programs or data is(are) selected (highlighted)
2. Spybot    
1.     Click Scan for Updates and download any updates available
2.     Click Scan for problems and fix problems when the scan is done
3.     Click Immunize and if a message saying "All known problems are already blocked" does not appear, click "+ Immunize"
3. CCleaner -    Click "Analyze", then Click "Run Cleaner" DO NOT USE CCLEANER to clean "Issues" it will break your system!
4. "Disk Defragmenter" Click "Defragment" button.
   

All these programs may take quite some time to run, so don't plan to use the computer when you are running these programs.
